Today talking about wedding ceremonies leads to making three particular distinctions.
1) The religious ceremony, which we know is not for everyone. There are many faiths, philosophies, rites and myths around an already defined protocol.
2) The civil ceremony, which imposes specific locations, limited times and spaces, also here chosen by others for us.
3) The symbolic ceremony, which effectively represents the boom of these times, both for Italians and for Foreigners.
In the latter option, you can really indulge yourself, give space to your own spirituality which is expressed in a rainbow of colors. And everything can be decided by the couple according to their tastes and desires.
In 2023, couples who opt for a wedding ceremony tend to attach great importance to the essential aspects, to being surrounded by friends and close people, to intimate but exclusive sobriety.
The desire for freedom explodes in the symbolic ceremony, the desire to crown a dream in full social style.
Everything will be personalized in a symbolic ceremony: the celebrant's speech, the readings chosen by the spouses (poems, film texts, etc.), the promises will be strictly on theme, the music in tune with the ritual.
And here we really have all kinds: rite of the noose, rite of light or candles, rite of sand, rite of the tree of life, etc.
Here in Tuscany, we recommend the wine ritual: the bride and groom have a bottle of wine which they will empty into a decanter at the same time.
